This is not what he made us for
By: Jean Mason

What would happen if we all slowed down long enough to take a look at the frowns on faces?

slowed down long enough to read between the lines of conversation,

Or just enough to look in the tears falling from their faces...

Would you realize that the smile was just a wall of pain tomorrow? would you look into their eyes and see a wall of names and sorrow? Would your name be there among the memories of neglect and injustice,

would you use your common sense? this not what he made us for...

We were made in hate, but he made you to love, We were made through pain, but thats not what he caused,We were placed in the dark, and he showed you a light,

Why do many reject him and turn to the night?

You could lose your heart,
you could lose your soul,
You could lose it all for earthly pleasure,
but that's not what he made you for...

We are children of wrath, he's a child of light...
We killed him and ran like thieves in the night...
When we could have lived inside his might, no fear of neglect, or fear of the darkness inside...

We were made in hate, but he made you to love,
We were made through pain, but thats not what he caused,
We were placed in the dark, and he showed us a light,
We are children of wrath, he's a child of light,

If we could all slow down, If you would all realize, And recognize.............

It is not what he made us, this is not what he made us, this may be what we made ourselves,
but it's is not what he made me for.
